The Times – Google might plan to help Chinese censorship

Google has potential plans to develop a version of its search engine that would assist the Chinese government to censor websites like Wikipedia or the BBC. Director Silkie Carlo commented:

“Google is supposed to be a gateway to free information. To see a tech giant and government collude to oppress a population is a watershed moment.”
