Our Director, Silkie Carlo, spoke to Al Jazeera about Pegasus – a notorious zero-click phone exploit created by cyberarms company NSO Group. The spyware was designed to covertly attack targeted iOS users’ phones – including through drop-calls via WhatsApp – to take masses of data from the devices. It later emerged that journalists and human rights campaigners were among those targeted.
