What information do we collect and how do we use your data?
We collect, store and use your email address if you freely provide it to us for the specific purpose of receiving our email newsletter. Your email address will only be used for that purpose. This information is shared with our newsletter service provider MailChimp for the specific purpose of sending you our email newsletter. You can view their privacy policy here.
We do not share this information with any other third party or organisation.
We do not directly collect, store or use any metadata; also known as communications data or log information. Data which may be retained by our server provider may include IP address, information regarding your length of visit on the website, number of pages viewed and if you have come to the website via a link from another website (referrer) or if you link to another website from our site. This information is held by our server provider and is not examined, other than when we occasionally review visitor numbers only.

We use GoCardless, Paypal and CrowdJustice accounts to administer on-line donations. Paypal allows you to close your customer account once you no longer require it. Financial and Supporter Information

Our financial accounts are held with Metro Bank. Any donations made to Big Brother Watch in the form of a cheque or bank transfer will be processed by Metro Bank in accordance with its privacy policy available here and under UK law. We retain information about all donations in accordance with financial auditing requirements.
