Lincolnshire police and crime commissioner Marc Jones is calling for an increase in the use of facial recognition technology, following Government’s call to expand the use of this controversial surveillance technology in policing.
Commenting, Madeleine Stone of Big Brother Watch said, “Facial recognition is a really intrusive, worryingly inaccurate surveillance technology.”
